| Welcome to the First
Presbyterian Church of Montpelier, Ohio |
|
Welcome to the Montpelier First Presbyterian Ch urch family. You
are invited to get acquainted with our family and in turn make it
your own. Our purpose is to grow spiritually, pray and study
scripture daily, worship weekly, serve in ministry here at First
Presbyterian, serve in outreach beyond Montpelier, tithe our
personal resources, and encourage spiritual growth in others
through relationships. We believe with the Saints and Scripture
that "Nothing is impossible with God" (Mark 10:27b). Please join
us on the journey of your life. Click here

Yours in Christ,

| Summit Youth Group
Needs You! |
|
How would you like to take an
active part in molding the youth of the church? The Christian
Education Committee is looking for new leaders for the Summit
Youth Group. The group consists of kids in Grade 6 to Grade 12.
The Committee is looking for adults to sign up a month at a time
to plan activities. In the past, the Summit Youth Group has met on
the 3rd Sunday of each month following church service. Special
events could be on a Sunday or any other day as planned. If you have an interest in working with these great
kids, contact Doris Marsh at (419) 485-3339. |

| Our Mission |
|
First Presbyterian was founded in 1886 as a congregation of ordinary human beings who struggle: As individual Christians, as a body of believers called together to serve Jesus Christ and the Montpelier community.
The mission of First Presbyterian Church of Montpelier is to become a living expression of God's love transforming strangers into a family whose faith, witness and lifestyle reflect discipleship in Jesus Christ.
From this statement we have developed five goals as follows:
-
Proclaim the living Christ daily in our words and action
-
Reach out to and welcome new sisters and brothers into our family
-
Create a supportive faith community
-
Involve each member of our family in worship, education, mission and fellowship
-
Dedicate our energies and resources to serving others locally and worldwide
