Fellowship
Our invitation is open to all who wish to join us in fellowship in the worship of the Lord.
Music Ministry

Great music has the power to lift the spirit, enrich the mind, and involve the whole person, body, mind, and spirit in a creative act of praise. Because music must be created anew each time it is heard, worship becomes a creative adventure involving the total worshiper as the timeless message of the Gospel is proclaimed through music.

Music is an important part of life at First Presbyterian Church because it gives everyone an opportunity to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" young, old, choir, and congregation. It gives us all a means of expressing our faith in a meaningful, fulfilling way. An Allen digital computer organ enhances our worship, along with 37 Malmark hand bells, adding a little extra ring to worship. We welcome new voices and ringers to our two choirs:

  • Chancel Choir: rehearsals are every other Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at the church

  • Bell Choir: rehearsals are each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm at the church

Summit Youth Group (Grades 7-12)
The group meets monthly (every 3rd Sunday at 11:30 am). Activities include Laser Tag, summer lake cottage get-together with food, boating and tubing, weekend trips. The group also participates in Easter Sunrise Service, Halloween Party event and Christmas activities at the church.
Education

At First Presbyterian Church, we strive to create a curriculum designed to reach the needs of all Christians of all ages. Our goal is to strengthen and expand a caring, concerned community in which we as Christians can meet in close fellowship and help each other in our mutual quest toward a deeper understanding of God, a higher communion with our Lord and a clearer definition of Christ's will for our lives.
